While a 290hp, 252lb/ft of torque 3.3L DOHC 24-valve V6 matched with an Electronically Controlled 8-Speed Automatic Transmission with Sportmatic is available on the Sorento L/EX/SX models. The Sportage conversely comes standard-equipped with a 175lb/ft of torque, 181hp 2.4L 4-cylinder and the option to upgrade to a 240hp, 260lb/ft torque 2.0L Turbo 4-cylinder for a little extra “juice”. Both engine platforms are fixed with a standard Electronically Controlled 6-Speed Automatic Transmission with Sportmatic.
